Austin

On my fourth grade journey my class and I went to Austin, Texas. In Austin the first day we got there we unpacked and headed to the Capitol of Texas. In the Capitol our tour guide showed us everything we even looked at a painting made by William Huddle of Santa Anna surrendering to Sam Houston. On our journey I thought that Stephan F. Austin and Sam Houston were peacemakers because all they wanted to do was make peace with everybody. On the fourth grade journey Mrs. Cousino had devotion every night; she gave us advice for our journey she also told to act like a peacemaker wherever we go. Before that we went to see bats fly out from under a bridge to go eat there dinner first it started out like a trickle it was like the first immigrants coming to Texas thru Galveston Island. The next day we went to San Jose Mission there our tour guide actually made us feel like we were one of the native people living there. We also got to make corn torte as but we did not get to cook it as a real native person would have that lived in the catholic village in San Antonio. Next we went to the river walk I felt like an immigrant first coming into a new town or village. We explored the river walk like Lucy did when she first came into Narnia. Then after lunch at Casa Rio we watched a film about the Alamo.I did not like the film that much but it was Texas history.
The next day we are going to leave but before that we went inside a cave exploring it was so cool here is a fun fact the bats we saw are the second smallest bats in the whole entire WORLD. On the journey I forgotten to say my roommates my roommates where Mrs. Tomasides, Demi, And Caroline .M we called ourselves decc 215. I couldn’t think of better traveling companions!!!
Thru the school year we have gone on many journeys, but this was just one of them and Mrs. Cousino is the driver of the fourth grade journey. No matter how old you are or how different you will always be on your journey why? I think because God is the driver of our life journey and I hope my life journey will go on and on forever. I hope I will neaver forget my fourth grade journey to Austin.
